This has been our first easter and a fun one. We were so excited to get a visit from Ilaria, Benjamin and Aurora for the occasion.
They have been our first guests (or should I say "overnight guests"?) in our cute little home, and the first ones of our family to see where we live. The tour of the apartment didn't take long because there isn't a lot of space. But it turned out to be a laughable experience. What can I say, our leaving room has soooo many different set-ups for all types of occasions! hahaha!
Questa é stata la nostra prima pasqua ed é stata davvero divertente. Eravamo talmente emozzionati di ricevere una visita da Ila, Benjamin ed Aurora per l'occasione. Sono stati i nostri primi ospiti (o dovrei dire ospiti che hanno pernottato) nella nostra piccola e carina dimora. Inoltre sono anche stati i primi famigliari che hanno visto dove abitiamo. Non ci abbiamo messo molto a dare un tour dell'appartamento perché non é molto grande. Ma é stato un dettaglio che ha trasformato l'esperienza in divertimento. Cosa posso dirvi, il nostro salotto puó cambiare forma per ogni tipo di occasione! hahahaha!
Having Aurora with us gave us opportunities to do so many fun things for easter. We enjoyed painting eggs and making baskets for everyone. Aurora made a big bunny in dough of Zopf (swiss bread) that came out delicious and so cute. She got to see and touch different bunnies, be a bunny her self and meet Mr.Big Bunny.
Avere Aurora con noi ci ha dato la possibilitá di fare tante attivitá divertenti per la pasqua. Ci siamo divertiti a pitturare uova e fare dei cestini per tutti. Aurora ha poi fatto un bel grand coniglio in pasta di treccia, davvero delizioso. Inoltre ha potuto accarezzare diversi conigli, essere un coniglio e incontrare il Signor Coniglio.
The beach was on our list, but the weather wasn't warm enough. So we got to spend a day at the LA ZOO, which is very close to were we live, near the bottom of Griffith Park. We became bunnies for a day! Aurora painted and made her ears out of paper, and then had her face painted. The grown ups couldn't resist and we all ended up with whiskers and little nose, except for uncle Christian who was just being a big sucker! :)
We were able to see sooooo many animals for the first time up close. I told Christian most of them you don't really get to see in Swiss's Zoo. Must be the weather difference that allows these types of animals here. Amazing species, and so fascinating. Aurora LOVed looking at an elephant, Christian a huge gorilla, and I a baby alligator and fascinating color's shapes on zebras.
La spiaggia era sulla nostra lista, ma proprio in quei giorni non era abbastanza caldo. Cosí abbiamo passato una bella giornata allo ZOO di LA, non lontano da casa nostra, ai piedi del Parco Griffith. Siamo diventati conigli per un giorno! Aurora ha dipinto e fatto le sue orecchie in cartoncino e poi si é fatta pitturare il suo viso. Noi adulti non abbiamo saputo resistere e ci siamo uniti con baffi e nasino, tranne zio Christian, sciocchino!
Abbiamo avuto l'occasione di vedere talmente tanti animali per la prima volta. Ho detto a Christian che negli Zoo in CH non si vedono tutte questi tipi di animali. Dev'essere per la differenza di clima. Delle speci di animali incredibili, talmente affascinanti. Ad Aurora é piaciuto tantissimo vedere un elefante, a Christian un MEGA gorilla, e a me un bebé alligatore e le forme colorate zebrate sempre affascinanti.
The Griffith Observatory was next. We watched one of the movie-shows (Center of the Universe) in the famous Samuel Oschin Planetarium Theater. Fantastic! The movie is so well produced. The planetarium has a dome-like screen so the movies play on the walls and ceiling. On the way out Aurora was all smiles and posing, and so I managed to have a quick improv-photo shoot just for her (: She's adorable!
L'Osservatorio Griffith é stata la prossima tappa. Abbiamo visto uno dei film (Centro dell'universo) nel famoso Samuel Oschin Planetarium Theater. Fantastico! Il film é stato prodotto talmente bene. Il planetario ha uno schermo a cupola, cosí i film vengono proiettati su pareti e soffitto. All'uscita Aurora era tutta sorrisi e pose. Ho preso subito la palla al balzo ed improvvisato una sessione fotografica tutta per lei(: Troppo carina!
We did so much more. Aurora and her daddy got to go watch the Red Sox. It was the first time for Aurora and a great win for their team!
We had two easter egg hunts for Aurora. One organazied by the city of Burbank, and one in the lovely garden outside our home where we all took turns to go hunting for eggs. I think uncle Christian and daddy Benjamin had the most fun hiding eggs... like in the street lantern or high up on the palm tree.
Abbiamo fatto molto di piú. Aurora e il suo papi sono andati a vedere la partita dei Red Sox. É stata la prima partita dal vivo per Aurora e una partita vincente per la loro squadra di baseball.
Abbiamo partecipato a due caccie alle uova per Aurora. Una organizzata dalla citá di Burbank e l'altra nel nostro bel giardino fuori casa nostra, dove abbiamo fatto tutti a turno per la ricerca di uova colorate. Penso che zio Christian e papi Benjamin siano quelli che si sono divertiti di piú nel nasconderle... per esempio come lampadina nel lampione o su in cima alla palma.
Oh and we haven't yet talked about skyping Switzerland, our tour on a trolly, playing at the Americana Park, running and laughing like crazy for hours, or the easter lunch with tortellini, chicken cacciatora and looOots of ice cream.
OH e non abbiamo nemmeno parlato di quando abbiamo chiamato via skype casa in CH, del nostro giro in trolly-tram, di aver giocato al parco Americana, corso e riso come matti per ore, o del nostro pranzo di pasqua con tortellini in brodo, pollo alla cacciatora e taaaaaanto gelato.
Everything has been a really fun. Most of all, it has been soOoo good to spend time all together. We can't wait for more visits!! :)
É stato un grand bel divertimento. In particolar modo é stato talmente bello passare del tempo tutti insieme. Non vediamo l'ora di ricevere altre visite!! :)

ma che bellllloooooo, come avete festeggiato bene... mia cara Naomi sei un portento... veramente...'come te non c'é nessunooooo' (era una canzone dei miei tempi) ed é proprio adatta a te !! aahhhaaahh. Credo proprio che non é a caso che abitate abbastanza vicini, da poter incontravi qualche volta, fa bene a tutti voi ma anche a noi.. é come se ci fossimo pure noi con voi e io mi emoziono tanto.. uuaauuhh. Che bravi figli abbiamo, siete sempre nei nostri cuori e preghiere e sono sicura che presto avrete le sospirate e meritate benedizioni da Dio !! Vi vogliamo tantissimo bene :):) Bacioni e abbracci.
